Missing from website.
I had to add this in due to the fact it’s not on le website, also for some reason the ICAO and IATA codes were not working, so I had to do some random words. (ICAO : CYSR / IATA : YSR)

Procedures: summer glider ops for air cadets
[copied from Facebook] The Air Cadets Gliding Operations have commenced for the Fall season at Smiths Falls flying Club on weekends. When Air Cadet Glider Ops are in progress there is no inactive side of the circuit. Gliders and Tow Planes do right hand circuits and use both the main and grass Runway. The Glider “zone” extends up to 3,000 ft on the “inactive” side. Joining the circuit from inactive side should be avoided, coordinate with Glider Ops on 122.7 if unsure. Joining the circuit straight into downwind is highly recommended. Phillip Johnson Smiths Falls Flying Club

Wx Cameras
I see this airport now has weather cameras on NAV CANADA's flight planning web site...sweet!

Crosswind Strip
There is a shorter crosswind turf strip at Smiths Falls that is not depicted in the CFS (visible on the map above). A flying club member recently told me to feel free to use the grass if there was a good crosswind on my arrival on a cross country flight. I would guess it is about 1500' long.

Fuel
There is a 24-hour, self-service fuel pump, as at CYRP. It was NOTAM'd O/S for a long time, but the NOTAM's gone now, so presumably the pump is back in operation.

Approaches
The NDB approach is to 06, but the GPS approach is to 24 -- watch for the risk of head-on, opposite-direction traffic over the runway when people are practicing simulated approaches.

Runway lighting
Note that the runway lighting ARCAL is *not* on the same frequency as the ATF. Use 122.7 MHz for the ATF, but 122.9 MHz to activate the lights.
