The Gippsland GA8 Airvan is an Australian-designed single-engine utility aircraft that has carved out a unique niche as one of the few modern high-wing piston singles purpose-built for commercial operations. First flown in 1995 and certificated in 2000, the Airvan was engineered from the outset for rugged backcountry work, skydiving, cargo hauling, and passenger service in remote regions where reliability and payload trump speed.
