The Learjet 70 represents Bombardier's effort to modernize the iconic Learjet brand for the 21st century, entering service in 2013 as the smaller sibling in the 70/75 family. Built in Wichita, Kansas, the LJ70 replaced the aging Learjet 40/45 series with a clean-sheet redesign featuring Garmin G5000 avionics, canted winglets, and Honeywell TFE731-40BR engines that deliver a maximum cruise speed of 465 knots and a range of 2,060 nautical miles. The aircraft seats up to nine passengers in a cabin that, while still compact by modern standards, offers improved headroom and baggage capacity compared to its predecessors.
