The Taylorcraft BC-12D is a classic American light aircraft that emerged from the post-World War II boom in general aviation, when thousands of returning pilots sought affordable flying machines. Built by the Taylorcraft Aviation Company in Alliance, Ohio, the BC-12D ("Deluxe") became one of the most popular variants of the Taylorcraft line during the late 1940s, prized for its docile handling, fabric-covered tube-and-rag construction, and economical 65-horsepower Continental engine.
