Tanks

General George Patton museum is next to the cafe. If you look closely when flying in you can still see the tank tracks where they trained for North Africa

Chiriaco Summit

A simple paved strip adjacent to I-10 just east of Palm Springs. We met a few other Cherokee drivers there for a burger. Decent little cafe, good burger/shake. My first longer XC after getting my PPL, and the first XC with my wife.
