Great for both airline (passenger) and general aviation - we
Back in 1999 I was traveling to Australia for business. I managed to spend some time visiting Cairns. I flew up from Sydney on a 747-SP, walked down the jet stairs on to the apron - cool! Then later on in the week I rented a C172, VH-WHK, along with an instructor to fly up the coastline sight seeing. Amazing! I also was amazed to see an HF radio in this C172 - but this made sense, since you are often in the outback. Great times - I hope it is still the same or better.

One of my all-time favourite airports, and cities. The birthplace of Bush Pilots Airways.
