N669M is a Gulfstream Aerospace G-II, a twin-engine jet operated by SOCOLOF JON. SkyMeter has tracked 26 flights totalling 12 hours of airtime via ADS-B. The most frequent segment is KDCU to KDCU. Service window in our records spans 217 days. Of those flights, 4 (15.4%) carry at least one detected incident — go-around, unstable approach, stall warning, or runway excursion. The Gulfstream Aerospace G-II has a maximum takeoff weight of 65,500 lb, medium wake category.
About the Gulfstream Aerospace G-II
The Gulfstream G-II, introduced in 1966, was the first purpose-built business jet designed for intercontinental range and established Gulfstream as the dominant force in large-cabin corporate aviation. Powered by twin Rolls-Royce Spey turbofans, the G-II could carry eight to nineteen passengers across 4,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.85, a capability that made it the gold standard for Fortune 500 flight departments and heads of state throughout the 1970s and 1980s. The aircraft's spacious stand-up cabin, reliable systems, and transcontinental reach set the template for every Gulfstream that followed.
The G-IIB variant, designated G2GL in ICAO coding, incorporated aerodynamic refinements and updated avionics while retaining the classic lines and performance envelope that made the original G-II a legend. Though production ended in 1979 after 256 aircraft were built, many G-IIs remain in service today, prized for their robust construction and relatively low operating costs compared to newer ultra-long-range jets. The type has also served military and government roles, including the U.S.
Navy's C-20 transport and NASA's research platforms. SkyMeter has tracked flights across airframes and operators, with the largest observed operator.
