Certified under both European CS-LSA and U.S. FAA LSA regulations, the Alto occupies the ultralight / light sport niche with a maximum takeoff weight of exactly 1,320 pounds, the upper limit for the LSA category in the United States. Powered by a single Rotax 912 series engine (typically the 100-hp 912 ULS), the Alto features a high-wing configuration, tricycle landing gear, and side-by-side seating for two.
